Some Figure Drawings

Went to another Draw Mania event for the month of August. This month's event had some awesome musicians and of course awesome models. I know you came here for the naked people, so without further ado...

These poses probably range from about 8 to 12 minutes each

Yay Comics!

So I just finished my second sketchbook of daily journal comics and felt like celebrating! I currently have just over one hundred and fifty days of comics. I started doing daily comics at the beginning of this year and then I stopped in the middle of March when work started getting rough and then started back in June and have been going strong since then. Here's to many more to come!

One Grey Hair

Decided to do a little ink piece for my facebook profile featuring my one grey hair. Now that my hair is short it sticks right up. I'm worried someone is gonna come up to me and pull it out, because, quite frankly, I'm proud of my one grey hair.

 Inked version.

Final version.

Based off this photo, even though you can't see the grey hair in this picture.

Oh, I did this today too.

Inked version.

Work in progress.

Final version.

Bonus! My fingers turning pruney from holding my blotter paper towel so tight while inking.

Two posts in one day! Woop woop!

Fire Escape

New little ink piece I did. Enjoy!

Close up of characters.

This is the only progress shot I got of it. About 85% done.

Bonus! So a couple days ago I got to go to the Festival of Drawn Animation presented by Bill Plympton and Patrick Smith. I got a chance to meet Bill and Patrick and see some really cool animation. Good Times were had!

This is the program from the event. It was folded a little crooked, but according to Pat that just means it's worth more money.

Obligatory Bill Plympton drawing. Tiffany the whale!

Double Super Bonus! So a super cool buddy of mine from college (Melisa Des Rosiers) decided to draw this awesome picture of me as part of her One Thousand Heads drawing challenge. I was honored to have my likeness done by her. She is an awesome artist. You can check out more of her work on her blog.

More Figure Drawings

So I went to Draw-Mania again. I've talked about it before, but Draw-Mania is a figure drawing event held once a month in the back room of a cool tiki bar in East Village. It's a pretty cool event with a wide range of models doing all sorts of poses for different lengths of time. There's also pretty cool music and performers ranging from musicians to comedians to dancers to storytellers. Anyways, below are some of my drawings from this past event.

Bonus! Below is tonight's dinner. I've recently turned my Facebook profile into my mini food blog and I think everyone is tired of seeing all of the delicious food I make. In case you were wondering it's spinach and cheese stuffed chicken breast and butter garlic and herb noodles with mushrooms and zucchini. Good stuff.
